A GP has been struck off over a relationship with a girl that started when she was 10. The woman reported Dr Roy to the General Medical Council after he had built a reputation as a "well-respected" GP over a 16-year career. A medical tribunal heard he was a 23-year-old University of Wales student when he began a sexual relationship with the then-14-year-old, who was referred to as Ms A throughout the hearing. Ms A was 10 when she made an account on MSN Messenger. Dr Roy started a conversation with her and soon they were chatting regularly. By the time she was 11 they spoke almost daily on the platform.
