GP had 'horrifying sexual relationship' with 14-year-old girl; Then-University of Wales student Ravish Roy sent the child poetry telling how he 'fantasised' about her in school uniform.

A GP has been struck off over a relationship with a girl that started when she was 10. Dr Ravish Roy, then a medical student, became sexually involved with the girl when she was 14 but in adulthood she came to be "horrified" by the memories, a tribunal heard.

The woman reported Dr Roy to the General Medical Council after he had built a reputation as a "well-respected" GP over a 16-year career. A medical tribunal heard he was a 23-year-old University of Wales student when he began a sexual relationship with the then-14-year-old, who was referred to as Ms A throughout the hearing.

Ms A was 10 when she made an account on MSN Messenger. Dr Roy started a conversation with her and soon they were chatting regularly. By the time she was 11 they spoke almost daily on the platform.

"Dr Roy had a jealous nature and would be possessive if I brought up other boys," said Ms A. "I recall that in one of our conversations I invited him to my 11th or 12th birthday party. In my invitation I promised that no other boys would be there if he came as I knew that would placate him."

At the age of 13 she attended an event and met Dr Roy in person. "I had straightened my hair and applied lots of make-up," she said. "I knew when we met that Dr Roy found me attractive as he kept complimenting me on how 'beautiful' and 'sexy' I looked... The next day I wore a pair of jeans and I remember that he complimented the way my bum looked. He told me I had an amazing 'boonka', which was an expression for bum he commonly used, which he picked up from a TV show we both used to watch called My Wife and Kids."
